Polyethylene Female Elbow Fitting
One of the important fittings in piping systems with polyethylene pipes is the female elbow. In cases where there is a need to install any type of valves or threaded fittings at the same time as changing the direction of the pipe, the solution will be to connect the female elbow.
Features of the female elbow
- High resistance: It is resistant to corrosion, UV rays and pressure up to 10 bar.
- Easy installation: It can be installed easily and without special tools.
- Proper sealing: It creates a proper sealing system between the polyethylene pipe and any threaded fitting.
- Long life: Due to the polypropylene material of the connection, it has a long life.
- Resistance to chemicals: This connection is resistant to most acids and chemical fertilizers.

Product Application
Applications of polyethylene elbow fitting
This fitting is used to change the direction of polyethylene pipes and at the same time require the installation of valves or threaded fittings in irrigation systems and various industries.
Advantages of using polyethylene elbow
- Speed and ease of installation: Given that this type of fitting does not require welding, its installation is very quick and easy.
- Low cost: The female elbow fitting is installed in less time and costs less than other connection methods.
- Light weight: The lightness of this fitting, in addition to making it easy to transport and maintain, also makes it easy to install.
Product Components
Polyethylene elbow fitting components
Fitting components: The polyethylene elbow fitting on the polyethylene pipe side has components, each of which has a function, and the correct arrangement and shape of them ensure accurate sealing of the fitting. These components include: the fitting body, the sealing ring, the split ring bushing, and the fitting screw.
The order of these components is shown in the figure below.
Important points during installation
- Selecting the right size: To make a proper connection, the size of the female elbow fitting must be matched to the size of the polyethylene pipe and the thread on the other side to the threaded fitting that must be closed on it.
- Using Teflon tape: To ensure complete sealing, it is better to use Teflon tape on the threaded fitting side.
- Tightly tightening the nut: The equal elbow fitting nut must be tightened enough to prevent leakage.
