Polymer Riser

The polymer riser is one of the most important components used in sprinkler irrigation systems, functioning as the supporting stand that positions the sprinkler at the proper height. The price of polymer risers varies across different brands and Vispar is recognized as one of the leading manufacturers of high‑quality polymer risers in Iran. Our products are supplied with after‑sales support, and the high‑grade polymer materials used in their construction ensure excellent strength and durability.

A polymer riser is a type of polymer pipe designed to connect the sprinkler to the main irrigation line. In irrigation systems—especially sprinkler irrigation—it is used to transfer water from the main pipes (which are often buried below ground level) to the surface, where it connects to sprinklers or check valves.

Technical Specifications of the Polymer Riser

The most important factors determining the quality of a polymer riser are the precision of its threading and the mechanical strength of the component. Our polymer risers feature 100% uniform threads manufactured in full compliance
with industry standards.

In addition, all mechanical and technical tests applicable to UPVC pipes—including impact resistance, corrosion resistance, UV resistance, and more—are performed on the produced risers to ensure durability and reliable performance.

Other key features of polymer risers include:

  • Available in various lengths: 30, 40, 50, 60, 75, and 100 cm
  • Size options: ½”, ¾”, 1″, 1¼”, 1½”, 2″, 2½”, and 3″
  • Resistant to sunlight (UV) and corrosive environments
  • Nominal pressure rating: 16 bar
  • Durable, standard threading manufactured according to BSPT standards
  • Optional female-thread production
  • Easy installation

Product Application

Applications of the Polymer Riser

The Vispar polymer riser is used in sprinkler irrigation systems to elevate the sprinkler head and ensure proper water distribution. In classic sprinkler irrigation setups, riser pipes are connected to polymer check valves to position the sprinklers above the height of agricultural crops.

It is important to note that removing the polymer riser significantly reduces the uniformity coefficient of water distribution, causing certain areas of the field to receive insufficient irrigation. This directly leads to reduced crop performance and lower yield.

Product Selection Guide

Guidelines for Selecting the Proper Polymer Riser Length

When choosing the appropriate riser length, two key factors must be considered:

1. Maximum plant height and 2. Minimum riser length based on the sprinkler’s flow rate, which is determined from the performance chart. If the maximum plant height is greater than the riser length obtained from the chart, the plant height should be used as the minimum riser length. Otherwise, the minimum riser length will be the value indicated in the chart.

It is also important to note that selecting a riser longer than necessary can lead to issues such as increased wind drift of water droplets and difficulties during transportation. To meet the needs of various irrigation systems, Vispar manufactures polymer riser pipes in custom lengths and diameters up to 3 inches, with a working pressure of 16 bar and durable BSPT‑standard threading, ensuring top‑quality performance.
