Union Ball Valve
The union ball valve is a type of industrial polymer valve designed for opening and closing fluid flow. Due to its ability to withstand a nominal pressure of 16 bar, the union ball valve is widely used across various industries including oil and gas, petrochemical plants, swimming pools and jacuzzis, desalination
systems, and other applications involving acidic fluids.
Technical Specifications of Union Ball Valve
The body of the Visspar union ball valve is made of PVC, providing excellent impact resistance and high durability. All our union ball valves undergo functional and hydrostatic testing at the factory before being released to the market, ensuring reliability and performance.
In summary, the main specifications and features of the union ball valve are:
- Maximum working pressure: 16 bar
- Maximum operating temperature: up to 60°C
- High resistance to acids and chemical corrosion
- Anti-scaling design with smooth internal surface
- Low operating torque
- Replaceable and repairable design
- Easy and quick installation

Product Application
Applications of UPVC Union Ball Valve
The UPVC union ball valve, with a pressure capacity of 16 bar and strong resistance to chemical corrosion, is widely used in swimming pool and jacuzzi installations, water treatment plants, oil and gas industries, as well as metal and chemical industries. The valve is equipped with two unions, allowing the central body to be repaired without the need for installing separate unions in the pipeline.
Examples of applications include:
- Connection before and after pumps in boiler rooms
- Connection to heat exchanger lines
- Integration into lines equipped with sand filters
- Flow control in pipelines requiring installation of monitoring devices
Models of Visspar Union Ball Valve
The union ball valve is available in two main models:
- Blue-handle union ball valve: Available in three types – solvent-weld union ball valve,
single-thread union ball valve, and double-thread union ball valve. - Red-handle acid-resistant union ball valve: Available in solvent-weld type.
Service and Maintenance
- Union ball valves are designed for long-term operation. Only sealing and tightness should be checked during opening and closing.
- If the valve has been in a fixed position for 1–2 years, it is recommended to check its opening and closing function.
- Frequent operation or exposure to chemicals may require part replacement. In such cases, valves must be removed and pipelines flushed of chemicals.
- Use of non-standard lubricants may damage the ball or packing seal. Only silicone oil or poly-glycol-based lubricants should be used.
- Since elastomeric parts are made of EPDM and FPM (Viton), valves should be stored in their packaging in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
- When disconnecting the valve from the system, ensure the system is shut down and free of pressure.
