Flap Check Valve
The flap check valve (also known as an automatic flap valve) is designed to allow fluid to flow in only one direction. This type of check valve features very low pressure loss, and its excellent sealing capability makes it one of the highest‑quality polymer valves available.
The flap check valve operates based on the pressure present in the system and does not require any auxiliary equipment. Inside the valve, a disc moves closer to or away from the sealing surface depending on the fluid pressure, thereby controlling the flow.
Technical Specifications of Flap Check Valve
The UPVC flap check valve, like all our valves, undergoes 100% testing before leaving the factory. The technical specifications of the flap check valve are as follows:
- Nominal Pressure: 16 bar
- Available Sizes: 50 mm and 63 mm
- High resistance to chemical corrosion and sunlight (UV resistant)
- Anti‑scaling and sediment‑resistant design
- High structural strength and durability
- Complete sealing performance
- Silent operation during opening and closing of the flap
- Suitable for installation in both horizontal and vertical pipelines

Product Application
Applications of Flap Check Valve
The internal flap of the flap check valve operates solely through the pressure of the fluid flowing in one direction, preventing reverse flow into the pump and avoiding potential damage. This valve functions entirely based on fluid pressure and contains no external control mechanism. Flow regulation inside the flap check valve is achieved by a disc that moves closer to or away from the sealing surface depending on the fluid pressure.
The flap check valve is widely used in systems where backflow must be prevented. Common applications include pumps, swimming pool and jacuzzi installations, residential plumbing systems, and the gas, oil, and petrochemical industries.
